Franchise GM: Invalid Transactions / FA Added During the Regular Season« on: January 21, 2010, 11:41:11 AM »
Am I correct to assume that all free agents added after the regular season has begun will be for the minimum salary of 500K, because the bidding ends after the first game?

MI Arias, Joaquin, $0.5m (P-n/a)
OF Golson, Greg, $0.5m (P-n/a) P Madrigal, Warner, $0.5m (P-n/a) P Mendoza, Luis, $0.5m (P-n/a) P Moscoso, Guillermo, $0.5m (P-n/a) P Strop, Pedro, $0.5m (P-n/a) P Hurley, Eric, $0.5m (P-n/a) I am assuming this transaction will save me $3.5 million, because of the following league rule: "Any player released under a prospect contract will not cause a hit to the cap." 518
Franchise GM: FGM Commissioner News & Tid Bits / 72 hour rule of FA bids« on: January 17, 2010, 05:41:32 PM »
Guys,
I know it's late in the game, but 72 hours is an awfully long time for bigs to finalize. Most leagues I've been in use 24 hours, because there tends to be some late bids. Anyway, here's my concern. Will we move on to bidding on Pitchers if bidding on CIs and DHs ahs not ended. Roy 519
Franchise GM: Invalid Transactions / FA Prospect Contracts« on: January 15, 2010, 12:26:43 PM »
From the league rules on FA prospect contracts:
"He accumulate 40 IP for his career by 2006. He may stay under a prospect contract until three years after 2006. As of the beginning of the 2009 season (or end of 2008 season), he will be considered a free agent unless signed to a new deal." Shouldn't the above had read? As of the beginning of the 2010 season (or end of 2009 season), he will be considered a free agent unless signed to a new deal." 520
Franchise GM: Invalid Transactions / Please Define DH« on: January 11, 2010, 02:52:58 PM »
On 1/15, FA is opening for CI and DH. There is no DH specific sort in Fantrax. Many postion players (i.e. Jorge Cantu, Ryan Garko, etc) have a DH designation in addition to their regular positions. Does this mean that DH *only* players are available for FA on 1/15? We would have to look them up individually, because as I said Fantrax does not make that distinction.
