For trade committee's approval. Pens looking for more trade action found Rebel Commissioner Drew to deal with. We are reuniting Goligoski with Souray on Drew's Wild and dealing a nice 26 year old offensive blueliner for a more experienced 35 year old defenseman in Boyle, which is where the addition of the draft pick comes in to off-set some future value.

For trade committee's approval. Another day, another trade That's why we love Dynasty leagues so much. My Penguins wanted to move some players to acquire another late pick in the second round to "roll the dice" in the Draft - it's like a box of chocolates, you never know... lol Then again, maybe I like gambling on draft picks. haha Vancouver was looking to add players to their roster so we hammered out this deal.

* 2009-10 = 0 pts = Rank 0 = 0.2 (not listed so used league minimum salary)
= 2 years for $0.6m (no change in salary level)

We will buyout Stuart at $2.5m for the final year of his contract as he is clearly overpriced for our team's payroll forecast. Plus that free's up a roster spot.

For trade committee's approval. Semin 27 is a young player on a high scoring team with years ahead of him and entering his prime. Coyotes also free up 1 roster spot. I'm building a "win now" team so don't mind Doan who's 34 and due for an extension in the +6 million range. I ask for Vlad and the pick as future value to even out the deal.

For the record, hockeyfreak47 has the cap space to make this deal since 2 of the players they bought out (Wolski and C.Mason) are paid for by their new teams and they get a buyout discount on Oduya. In all Coyotes now have $4.0m in extra cap space. And I'm the owner of Wolski and Oduya, so you're welcome hockeyfreak47. lol

If a player is signed from free agency to a 1 year deal, at what point can we decide to sign them to an extension?

Also, if we're 1/2 way through the season and I want to sign a player to an extension, which 2 years of ranking do I use current plus last season or current, last and 2years ago?

For trade committee to review. We struck this deal as I was shopping my LW around and Detroit was in the market for LW.

So it was a no brainer to work and rework until we came to an agreement. Torres and veteran Symth are reliable players consistently scoring above 100 points. I was interested in a Centre and Helm replaces some of those departed points I moved while Stuart was dealt to allow Detroit to absorb Symth's salary, while the second round pick was to square us up.
