Andrew Brunnette, $2.0m (2012-2013)

Sharks veteran Brunette has agreed to accept a reduction in pay to remain with San Jose for another 2 years, likely his last FNHL contract.

Brunette receives a 2yrs extension for 0.9m (1.1m in cap savings)

This also allows us to to complete our pending trade with Buffalo. Thanks  :toast:

Franchise NHL: Completed Transactions / Sharks and Islanders deal
« on: August 03, 2012, 03:14:03 PM »
Looks like the weekend vacationers are trading players and taking off. Sharks are trading our MLR goalie prospect Murphy who's tired of being behind Bishop and Lehner currently in Ottawa and has just moved to Europe for the upcoming season but he's only doing it to get good playing time I think in Sweden in addition to an inexpensive winger that bangs bodies in Kassian
Zack Kassian, $1.5m (2013-2014) RW
Mike Murphy, $0.2m (2012-2013) G

for

RW - Akim Aliu (2007: 2/56 - 2 Games)
Round 3 - 2012 (MIN)
Round 4 - 2012 (NYI)
I want the picks to add prospects to my MiLR which is somewhat emptier than I like. I'm also clearing a couple of roster spots to make room for free agency.

Thanks for the quick back and forth snugerud!  :toast:
Islanders to confirm.

Have a great weekend everyone. I'm out!

Franchise NHL: Invalid Transactions / I love Franchise.
« on: August 03, 2012, 03:02:36 PM »
I want to say thanks to SizzRat and PigsRule for organizing the league this season. And thanks to Hockeyfreak6000 and Gilly for last year.

I love this league. It's very different from the traditional leagues I've been in.
Unfortunately I have no access to Profsl during work hours so I get on this site whenever I have a moment in between regular life. All that to say I am here but it's not a daily thing so if you don't hear from me same day on a PM, please be patient and I'll definitely reply.

P.S. There's something about Profsl that causes my work servers to block it on my company's work computers and handheld devices. Strange.

#58 2011 Todd Bertuzzi, $1.9m (2014-2015)
#78 2011 Raffi Torres, $1.2m (2013-2014)
If there are any problems I will handle when I get back after my weekend camping trip. Thanks guys!

Franchise NHL: Completed Transactions / Gone Camping for the Weekend!
« on: August 03, 2012, 01:57:20 PM »
Hey guys I'm offline all weekend but hope to be back for the free agent fireworks either Sunday or Tuesday at the latest. The wife will tell me when I can return to my fantasy hockey non-sense.  :o

Hope to wrap up a few last minute transactions and maybe another trade.
Take care and have a good one!  :toast:

Franchise NHL: Completed Transactions / Sharks and Wings make a deal
« on: August 03, 2012, 01:43:46 PM »
Detroit and my Sharks made this trade as they were going to release their players outright. They were looking to clear cap space to rebuild via free agency. So we gave up a depth player on Defense in Butler and a gritty Winger with a tiny cap hit in Colton and to make the trade happen we sadly had to deal away stud prospect Rundblad who should be very good and some say as good if not better than Erik Karlsson and Oliver Ekman-Larsson. We'll see but that is the reason I traded for him middle of last season.

To Wings
Colton Gillies, $0.4m (2013-2014) LW
Chris Butler, $1.2m (2012-2013) D
D - David Rundblad, N/C, (30 Games) MiLR

To Sharks
Jakub Kindl, $1.2m (P-2012) - Contract Expires 8/4/2012 D
Raffi Torres, $0.8m (2011-2012) - Contract Expires 8/4/2012 LW
Todd Bertuzzi, $1.9m (2011-2012) - Contract Expires 8/4/2012 RW

DET to confirm this trade.
Let's hope our new players take our teams to the promiseland  :toast:

  • Daddy: This 2024 NFL Draft class is better than 90% of every draft ive witnessed since 1980. In NFL LIVE if you arent a top ten team, i strongly urge that you invest in 2024 draft.

  • Daddy: Traded all your picks? So what
    Today at 02:57:32 PM
  • Daddy: Look at the Rams. Look how young my team is. I hardly ever draft. There is more than one way to invest in young talent. The easiest way is the draft but its not the only way.

  • Daddy: NHL/NFL/MLB LIVE GMs be warned, if you miss a week, you miss a lot in those leagues. Take your time building, take your time evaluating, learn at your own pace.
  • Daddy: Just know, if you miss time at any point of the year, not just the active season. You have missed a lot. You've probably fallen behind your competition. Ten-Fifteen guys in all three of those leagues dont ever miss any opportunities.
  • Daddy: One more thing. The NFL LIVE waiting list is longer than you see on profsl or fantrax. There are people that know people that want in that league. No pressure on anyone but i cant just hold your franchise while you draft and do nothing else.
  • Daddy: i built College football for you guys that do that. Great scoring system, no trades, set your lineup and go getm! NFL moves too fast for that mentality. Apologies.
