I think the rule of trading cash needs to be tightened after seeing the Baltimore Orioles receive a ton of cash in a trade and he has yet to use it in FA. There are some damn good FA's available for him to bid on yet he trades a top prospect for just more cap space. I think that trade should be void as he seems to have no clue what he's doing. The rule needs to be tightened NOW as opposed to after the season before more trades happen like this where owners have no idea the value of cash. I have seen this in other leagues before I came to this site and it did not end well.

When is the last time we've had an opening in here? I can recall the White Sox last summer. We have gone what 7 months with no turnover in a 30 team league? I call that mighty impressive especially with the turnover the league had in the beginning. It looks like FGM finally has a fairly stable core of GM's who are fairly good at their craft. That Reds guy may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer.

I have been after a solid C for a very long time. I finally get one here although the price is rather high. McCann will be expensive to resign, but I feel he is worth the risk to make a run at it this year with the team I have in place. McCann will only make my lineup that much better. We finally agreed to a deal Kurt. It only took 3 weeks.

Armchair Fantasy Baseball: Archives / EGDL is ready to accept new members

EGDL is a 14 team, roto-based, salary, dynasty league with a unique setup. Each team has 27 man rosters and 40 minors per team. In addition, there are franchise, restricted, and prospect tags as well. It will be a small pay league ($20) buy-in that will be played on Fantrax.

We will begin a 12 week bidding process where 25 players will be bid on per week. Once these are nearly full/full we will do unlisted rounds where GM's may nominate players to fill out their rosters. Next, we will begin a 40 round minor league draft. I suspect it will take us 6 months to fill out the roster and we will begin playing in the 2013 season.
