When the :NYR: take to the ice tonight down 3 games to 0 in the best of 7 versus the :BOS-NHL: Brad Richards will be sitting in the press box. Richards signed through 2019-20 at a cap hit of $6.67m has been a massive disappointment this season and it continues into the playoffs.
He had been banished to the 4th line in previous games but coach John Tortorella has seen enough and would rather have his six-million dollar man up in the press box.
This leads many to believe that its just a matter of the season finishing before the Rangers use the Amnesty Buyout on Richards.
