Title: Rolando McClain Retires
Post by: Mr.TradeKing on May 16, 2013, 05:03:11 AM
Rolando McClain (23) informed the Ravens Wednesday that he was retiring only 33 days after signing with the team and ending his 3 year career. McClain was arrested for the third time in 11 months just 10 after signing the contract, a feat only rivaled by that of Titus Young who managed to get arrested 3 times in a single week just this past week. McClain is a former #8 pick, who had the talent necessary to compete in the NFL, but his premature retirement seems to convey that he just doesn't care about football anymore. And the Raider draft curse continues.....

The Ravens appeared to have seen the writing on the wall and traded up in the 2nd round of this year's draft to select Arthur Brown, LB from Kansas State. Brown's selection at the very least may have changed McClain's position/role on the team, but it also could have meant the beginning of the end for McClain in Baltimore.

I hope Rolando McClain (and Titus Young for that matter) can get his life straightened out and maybe even make a return to the NFL. Most would agree that it's sad seeing that type of talent wasted, but more importantly seeing a young man who is "lost" in life.
