-The Gordie Howe Award (most active on the board)
:COL-NHL: Jared's such a great asset to the league and deserves the award this year. Not only is he active with his team, he keeps the transaction board nice and tidy updating rosters every day.
-The Ken Holland Award (most outstanding GM)
I'm going with 2 teams for this award:
:STL-NHL: The wire to wire front runner this year. Detroit is close here due to points, but since St Louis has 3 more wins, they get the nod for me.
:WIN: Ryan has done an amazing job turning things around in Winnipeg so I need to give him some love here. Thanks for hanging in there with that franchise, it's tough to find good owners to turn teams around.
-The Wayne Gretzky Award (team w/ best centers)
:DET-NHL: Ian has 4 of the top 20 scoring centers in the league... Tavares, Datsyuk, Zetterberg and Elias.
-The Brendan Shanahan Award (team w/ best left wings)
:WAS-NHL: Brian's stacked on the left side with Ovi, Ladd and Semin. I know Semin is playing the right side in real life, but this is fantasy land and he's eligible and that's what I go by...
-The Jaromir Jagr Award (team w/ best right wings)
:PHI-NHL: The Dupuis and Parenteau combo is lethal. These guys are the reason Philly claimed a playoff seed this year (along with great goaltending...)
-The Bobby Orr Award (team w/ best defensemen)
:CHI-NHL: Big Buff, Suter and Seabrook. Chicago is stacked on D.
-The Dominik Hasek Award (team w/ best goalies)
:DET-NHL: 2 of the top 10 goalies in Howard and Nabokov.
-The Bad Juju Award (most unluckiest team)
:TBL: Ouch! Tampa had more points than 3 teams that made the dance this year. Don't worry, Tubby, it appears this award earns you good juju for the following year. Look at LA who got screwed last year, they made the playoffs this year when 2 other teams that aren't in it (including yourself) had more fantasy points.
-
-The Gordie Howe Award (most active on the board) - I'll give it to Snugerud. I switch players in and out and bid on new players to drop old ones way more than any person should. Snugerud keeps on top of all of it.
-The Ken Holland Award (most outstanding GM) - Has to be St. Louis. They would've had 100 more points if Spezza played the whole year and probably would've flirted with being undefeated.
-The Wayne Gretzky Award (team w/ best centers) - Philly wins this for me. Red Wins have more point producers but I don't see them playing at that level for long. Philly has Duchene, Giroux and Kopitar. Nasty.
-The Brendan Shanahan Award (team w/ best left wings) - Washington with a great resigning of Semin this offseason paid off big time.
-The Jaromir Jagr Award (team w/ best right wings) - Pittsburgh takes this with Stewart, Voracek and trading for Burrows.
-The Bobby Orr Award (team w/ best defensemen) - St. Louis has this on lockdown for years to come with Weber, Shattenkirk, Pietrangelo, and Hedman
-The Dominik Hasek Award (team w/ best goalies) - Edmonton sneaks this from Chicago. They have Rinne, who even on a down year is top 5 good, and Dubnyk who can only get better as the Oilers learn to play defense.
-The Bad Juju Award (most unluckiest team) - Obviously Tampa Bay being the last team in the most difficult division. Probably 2nd or 3rd any other divison and in the playoffs. I can hear the calls for realignment coming.
-
I updated my vote for Ken Holland to include :WIN:
-
-The Gordie Howe Award (most active on the board) I am going to split this with Carolina and Winnipeg. Both keep me pretty busy processing their transactions all season.
-The Ken Holland Award (most outstanding GM) St.Louis by a hair
-The Wayne Gretzky Award (team w/ best centers) So many to choose from. eni ,meni miny moo, St. Louis because they have 3 centers in the top 20 for pts per game.
-The Brendan Shanahan Award (team w/ best left wings) Detroit hands down, datsyuk, elias, franzen, zetterburg, fippula, huddler and haglien
-The Jaromir Jagr Award (team w/ best right wings) Going Carolina on this one.
-The Bobby Orr Award (team w/ best defensemen) chicago
-The Dominik Hasek Award (team w/ best goalies) Philly had this award hands down to start the year but after they moved one I feel Detroit has robbed him of the title.
-The Bad Juju Award (most unluckiest team) -- off the board with Anahiem simply because had he set his lines in week 8 he would have cake walked into a bye week.
-
-The Bad Juju Award (most unluckiest team) - Obviously Tampa Bay being the last team in the most difficult division. Probably 2nd or 3rd any other divison and in the playoffs. I can hear the calls for realignment coming.
The division didn't really hurt him since we played a balanced schedule. Even if he was in the Canada division he would have missed the playoffs. Still crapy luck though!

I was having a hard time deciding, and was going to wait to see some other people's ballots, but i'll jump in this very soon
-
-The Gordie Howe Award (most active on the board)
:COL-NHL: I don't think an explanation is needed here.
-The Ken Holland Award (most outstanding GM)
:BOS-NHL: I just think Rob did the most with the least this year. Not saying his roster isn't good, but doesn't jump off the page like some teams. He has also made some great deals throughout the season. And, I can't vote for myself! :rool:
-The Wayne Gretzky Award (team w/ best centers)
:STL-NHL: I've picked a lot of other catagories due to depth, but really like the top end talent with Stamkos and Huberdeau. Spezza, Berglund and Steen are good depth.
-The Brendan Shanahan Award (team w/ best left wings)
:WAS-NHL: Pretty loaded at the top end, and has some nice depth.
-The Jaromir Jagr Award (team w/ best right wings)
:BOS-NHL: Rob is loaded. Perry, Iginla, Ryder and Horton. Enough said.
-The Bobby Orr Award (team w/ best defensemen)
:CHI-NHL: This one was close, but with the depth of Leddy, Corvo, and Goligoski, I leadned towards them.
-The Dominik Hasek Award (team w/ best goalies)
:LA: Pretty loaded with Hiller as the 3rd option. Price and Quick are both great young goalies.
-The Bad Juju Award (most unluckiest team)
:TBL: Already been said. Tough luck to not get in the playoffs.
-
Ill weigh in on this soon enough. I have been a bit busy as of late

tuff to say because of all dual position players :o
:COL-NHL: Malkin c/rw , Kovalchuk lw/rw ... enough said :judge:

Commish,
Since I have been involved with the league for a very short period of time, I don't feel knowledgeable enough to vote for Yearend Honors. Not really sure I could make wise decisions in this area.

Understood, Jim. No problem at all.

Tough one but I will say STL only because they surpassed my expectations this year
-The Wayne Gretzky Award (team w/ best centers)
STL by a country mile

Colarado using both Geno and Ilya on the right

Best cap manager?
Only problem is I expect you will win that for a decade straight the way you're set up... ;)

Illl say. One week I had the 3rd highest points, played the two teams with the highest points. That being said, my team simply didnt have enough to compete at the end. Looking forward to next year.

I haven't been here long so I used stats and a bit of digging to vote for some of these.
-The Gordie Howe Award (most active on the board)
:COL-NHL: Love how fast transactions are processed and always a quick response on the few trade offers we talked about.
-The Ken Holland Award (most outstanding GM)
:STL-NHL: Based this more off of points scored for the year but I really like the balance his team has. Needs goalie help next year but overall I really like how his team is set up
-The Wayne Gretzky Award (team w/ best centers)
:STL-NHL: Stamkos
-The Brendan Shanahan Award (team w/ best left wings)
:TOR-NHL: Not the biggest names but very effective
-The Jaromir Jagr Award (team w/ best right wings)
:BOS-NHL: I think I am just beating a dead horse here in saying Iggy, Horton, Perry, and Caron will be huge in a few years
-The Bobby Orr Award (team w/ best defensemen)
:CHI-NHL: Another dead horse. There is going to be no horses left after I am done.
-The Dominik Hasek Award (team w/ best goalies)
:LA: I hate giving Drew awards. But can't argue that he has the best 1-2-3 punch in the league
The Bad Juju Award (most unluckiest team)
??? I wasn't here long enough to know but by the looks of it this award should go to :TBL:
-
-The Gordie Howe Award (most active on the board)
:COL-NHL: Very active on the boards and handles all of the transactions for the league.
-The Ken Holland Award (most outstanding GM)
:COL-NHL: Tied for the 2nd best record in the league while playing in the 2nd toughest division in DNHL in my opinion.
-The Wayne Gretzky Award (team w/ best centers)
:PIT-NHL: Sid the Kid had the highest scoring year in the league. Not much depth beyond a solid top 3 though.
-The Brendan Shanahan Award (team w/ best left wings)
:WAS-NHL: Ovechkin, Ladd and Semin form the best trio of LW in the league.
-The Jaromir Jagr Award (team w/ best right wings)
:PHI-NHL: Dupuis, Parenteau and Giroux (C/RW) gives Philadelphia a stacked RW
-The Bobby Orr Award (team w/ best defensemen)
:CHI-NHL: Chicago has top talent and plenty of depth at D.
-The Dominik Hasek Award (team w/ best goalies)
:EDM: Rinne and Dubnyk form a pretty good combo at G for the Oilers.
-The Bad Juju Award (most unluckiest team)
:TBL: Scored very well this year and still ended up being under .500 on the season and missing the playoffs
-

-The Gordie Howe Award (most active on the board)
:COL-NHL: I really don't think snug ever leaves the site
-The Ken Holland Award (most outstanding GM)
:BOS-NHL: Rob made some great trades at the deadline and it makes me stressed that I'm playing them in this round of the playoffs.
-The Wayne Gretzky Award (team w/ best centers)
:STL-NHL: Other teams have some great centers that have dual eligibilities, but St Louis has undoubtedly the best pure centers, just look at those big names.
-The Brendan Shanahan Award (team w/ best left wings)
:WAS-NHL: Pretty loaded with Ladd, Ovechkin, and the ability to play Semin on the left
-The Jaromir Jagr Award (team w/ best right wings)
:BOS-NHL: Perry, Iginla, Ryder and Horton, sure Horton has struggled at times, but Ryder has thrived, especially after his trade.
-The Bobby Orr Award (team w/ best defensemen)
:LA: Not only solid D, but D that can go out and grab points.
-The Dominik Hasek Award (team w/ best goalies)
:LA: Having more than 1 elite goaltender just seems unfair.
-The Bad Juju Award (most unluckiest team)
:TBL: Anyone who has to play in our division definitely needs luck, and Tampa didn't get any when it mattered
-
Wanted to preface this by saying I believe these should be nominations and we should have voting in polls based on this but whatever works, works!

-The Bobby Orr Award (team w/ best defensemen)
:LA:
-The Dominik Hasek Award (team w/ best goalies)
While I believe my goalies are superior goalies all that matters is points so therefore we have to give it to :DET-NHL:
Honourable to :LA: & :EDM:
-The Bad Juju Award (most unluckiest team)
:TBL: - No clue just going with majority
