Title: Vacant Teams
Post by: COLRockies on March 19, 2013, 07:14:53 PM
How does it work during the season having vacant teams?  It seems like an unfair advantage for teams having vacant teams in their divisions since many of the rosters aren't fielding complete rosters.

Here's a random suggestion, but what about contracting the teams and making the players free agents or combining the teams so they have more adequate rosters and would be more appealing to a potential GM.

If we have vacant teams, I'll make adjustments to their rosters during the season.

Contraction is not an option. It goes against the premise of the league, which was to mimic MLB to the best of our abilities in a fantasy baseball setting. I'd rather it not turn into just another fantasy baseball league.

I know I'm the new guy here, or at least one of them, but I agree with Kenny.

It's difficult to keep replacing people and the more in-depth leagues like this one, it's even more difficult. Of course it's compounded even farther after free-agency and the amateur-draft have already taken place and most everyone's rosters are set.

I own two keeper-leagues on ESPN and tried to recruit some of my veterans to play here and didn't get any response.

Maybe we could stock the team with enough players for a complete line-up by just giving them the top-rated player at each position of need from the free-agent list.

I was thinking that maybe we could all take turns managing that team whenever it plays against a foe within our division? That would give us all incentive to do as well as possible with it.
