First off I know I don't have the cap so i will waive the space upon approval of the deal, if thats not allowed than I will waive right away, either way it will all work out cap wise cause its big boy Brouwer moving!!
So here we go,
I land 3 nice picks right away, I get depth and beasts in all positions that Im lacking in...I move some dead weight in White and Stempy...Little is a cheap resign!!
I realize Im moving a starter and the perception is that I will have put myself out of the running for the cup but Nabby doesnt make or break a team, time to sell him now while the value is still so nice!!
Heres hoping this meetings with everyones approval!!
Cheers Winter

Couldnt pass chance at getting a starter in Nabby. Hate losing Purcell but VAN get's some impact players now with Little being a cheaper resign. Stemp helps replace losses at RW. Nabbys resign is $4.8, and I have enough cap for signing him up. I have a bunch of resigns and cap, I'd rather spend it towards a goalie and be able to compete next yr.
Thanks Gilly

If you were to just send Brouwer in the deal it would make processing easier and faster, otherwise you will have to wait till the approvals are in then place Brouwer on waivers or just risk it now and place him on waivers.
-
I waived him in the waivers section so this trade is legal! Winter doesnt want Troy or having to deal with it!
Worst case is if this is vetoed than me and Winter rework it, it will all work out in the end!!
-
boys dont be scared to vote, its a great deal for both teams :)
-
haha its not that bad guys, lol
-
Is Nabokov even playing next season? I understand why Toronto did this, but I feel that this might be too huge of a risk to take. I am going to think a little longer on it before I give my vote, but I wanted to get something out there before Drew has to send the mass PM again.
-
uh oh maybe i shouldnt have waived brouwer , i may have lots of cap space haha oopsie
-
:iatp:
Nabokov is a risk, but a starting goalie is always worth a risk in this league. And with the cap savings that :TOR-NHL: gets, the deal is ok with me! :toast:
-
I agree its a LOT to pay for Naby who might only have 1 season left but I can see why TOR wants to do this as Starting G's are hard to come by in this league.
-
Thats 2, can we hear 1 more, :)

- Best player is Nabokov but he is old, if Toronto wanted to take a risk, why don't they bring up Thomas and sign him?
- This leaves probably the worst minor league team with no draft picks
- All players Toronto gets are old and past prime where as most players being sent out are young guys and solid contributors
- Points are just about the same
I vote for a :veto: . Sorry guys but I think it is an over-payment for a goalie whose future is unknown. I would approve without the picks going to Vancouver as Toronto needs picks, especially as a team in the bottom of the league.
-
I don't like the price because I do not like the chances of Nabokov staying for much longer, but he is healthy and showing no signs of slowing down, so :iatp:
-
Drew we got 3 approvals so were good but I would like to let Winter keep his 4th and 5th round picks, i dont see an issue doing this since most said i got a bit much anyways, if thats okay sir

Toronto would have to confirm this.
I also don't know whether this is an approval or not from Tyler. Can Tyler confirm this is an approval.

haha im sure winter is fine keeping two picks haha :) just trying to be nice
-
I'm still on the fence to be honest. It's a lot to pay for a goalie who may not play after this season or next.
I understand a goalie costs a lot but more looking like what Crawford got as he's a starter for a top team an very young where Nabby is started of a basement dweller and old.
I'd also like to see it without the picks to make it a tad more fair.
-
Lots of discussion over this bad boy, lol...so we are two veto's and two approvals, lol...I love BY, we talk talk talk :)
-
Close this as it was reworked and posted in transactions area without the picks!!
-
both team are improving with this trade ... so it's a win - win for me :iatp:
