after digging into why :COL-NHL: was suddenly so quiet on the site and not able to receive PM's, i've been advised by ProFSL/colby that Capn Cally received a 7-day game misconduct for "colorful" postings RE a trade thread. this was apparently imposed on Jan.31'13.
Capn Cally may have misunderstood the 7-day ban from the site admin team, but he hasn't been released by either myself nor co-commish hockeyfreak47.
:COL-NHL: is welcome to return to franchise nhl upon completion of their ban.
either way, they should advise us of their intentions via fantrax, email or profsl PM.

PPG you seem like a beaut so I'm not gonna trash you. No need for it anyways.
This league seems to be all over the map and a few other ppl have said so as well.
I can't keep up with a league with changing rules and weird ones at that.
Was sitting the roster b/c of the trade in question and b/c Drew at the time was being a complete douchebag (well, he still is actually, his PM's and emails were hilarious to read from a "grown" man), not b/c I was trying for a higher pick. That actually never crossed my mind, I'm not even thinking about the 2013 draft, the season just started haha.
I still think it's silly for a group of 8 other members of the same league to vote on a trade.
If one team is selling off good players to reubuild for the future, while another is selling their future (ie. prospects/draft picks) to compete to win this year, any owner on the trade committee that's competing with the team that just got the "better" NHL players could easily make up arguments against why the trade shouldn't go through. "This prospect isn't proven; This prospect is overrated; blah blah blah"
Again, said it before, but this is a free fantasy league. Why should people be telling other people how to run their teams in a FREE league, when for the most part, they don't have a clue who they are, where they're from, or what they look like? Seems ridiculous.
If we all bought in for $200 and had some skin in the game, then yeah, maybe let the league vote on trades. But in a free league? C'mon!
Anyways, that's all.
PPG, you've made a hell of a lot of good moves since coming in here and I still remember the stir you caused when you came in. What a shot in the arm, hilarious comments and calling people out. Love it, love your style. Keep it up - hell, if you have the time, take this league over and re-structure the hell out of it and I'll get back in here.
