Title: NYI , shopping for a new owner
Post by: snugerud on January 23, 2013, 11:07:06 AM
currently running 2 leagues and playing in 2 others I am finding it a bit too busy to keep up with and compete in them to the level that I like to. (basically too many leagues and its turning from fun to work for me)

I feel like I am at least leaving the team in better shape than when I started.  Our best goalie was Joey MacDonald and I have managed to bring in Poulin and Nihlstrop two young promising goalies for very reasonable prices.  Made some tough cuts including one I am regretting right now (Lecalvier) to get cap compliant and change the teams direction into a youth movement.  I hope the new GM will continue with commitment to a long rebuild.  (just dont let them trade Zibanjed, shinnimin, Lindholm or their 1st round pick)

I will continue to set the lines and make transactions that I feel are beneficial for the rebuilding of the NYI until a new GM is found.

you've been a great owner for the :NYI: ... the league has been better with you part of it with your feedback, suggestions, trades + FA activity to improve your team top on down.

you are always welcome back.

if you decide to return in 2013-14, you will have the opportunity to transfer to a new franchise as i know you took on the Islanders as a project and to help out.

thx, snugerud!

Thanks Piggs and I enjoyed the challenge.  Fun and frustrating at the same time.  I guess I know how Brian Burke felt about the Leafs now.
