I think one interesting thing about this truncated season for us will be how our team depth will play less a role than it would in a normal season. With more games per week the importance of depth will be diminished. I think the teams with the best regular starters will have an advantage over those with great benches, where in a normal season the deep teams have a huge advantage. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. I will probably amend my pre-season predictions from August to account for this dynamic.

i am sure i will be fine being a depth team and all. My one piss off is the one guy that i spent good money on, ruutu going out and breaking hip like an old granny! out for the season.

I built a lot if depth and it may hurt me as In a full season I would opt for 3 contributing guys over 1 superstar, but in a shirt season it really is a crap shoot

I think it can go either way really. If you have depth over a couple superstars that gives you better fallback options in case one of your players is going through a slump, and any prolonged slump in this shortened season will just ruin you especially if it is the superstar tanking.

Malkin!... that is all.

I think injuries are going to be a huge factor this year. With such a compressed schedule and guys being out of shape. missing 3 weeks of the season could mean a quarter of the games.
