The Brewers file to have the following prospects transferred to their EDR:
CI Cain, Lorenzo, $0.5m (P-n/a)
OF Gillespie, Cole, $0.5m (P-n/a) *
P Jeffress, Jeremy, $0.5m (P-n/a)
C Lawrie, Brett, $0.5m (P-n/a)
P Odorizzi, Jake, $0.5m (P-n/a) **
* was inherited and on the initial roster (was a member of the Brewers farm system), but has since been traded to ARI in MLB
** was acquired via FA during last season, but is currently and has been a member of the Brewers in MLB since being drafted by them in 2008.
I'm guessing we'll need to figure out how to handle these cases and similar instances for other team, as I do not think either is clearly defined with the current ruling. Personally I think Gillespie should be eligible since he was inherited and not involved in any FGM transactions since. However, Odorozzi is less clear IMO - although he was more of an omission from the original list of Brewers prospects, he was in fact acquired and not inherited.
I suppose the question is, what is the important date for comparing with MLB rosters... do we take our rosters as of today, and MLB rosters as of the freeze date (sometime last season), both as of the freeze, or both as of today? I'm ok with any of the above, but I think I missed it if we clearly defined this already.

I agree with your points. The first * is a no-brainer... the guy was on your inherited roster and was a Brewer as of July 1st, 2009. The second one is an interesting case that I will let pass since there will be so few players.
