Cincinnati Reds roster change.

Demote and place on Irrevocable Outright Waivers Daniel Dorn.
Promote to 25/40 man roster Denis Phipps.
Title: Re: AFB World Series
Post by: kenny on September 17, 2012, 09:20:16 AM
Dorn wasn't on the active roster, so if you plan on starting Phipps, let me know whose place you want him to take.

Right now I have the following for pitchers on your active roster:

Arroyo, Bronson
Cueto, Johnny
Nolasco, Ricky
Volquez, Edison
Wood, Travis
Arredondo, Jose
Burton, Jared
LeCure, Sam
Marmol, Carlos
Ondrusek, Logan
Thayer, Dale

KC: You have 1 RP too many and 1 SP too few. Right now, I have Layne, Dempster, Hochevar, Odorizzi as your SP's. Everybody else only qualifies as a RP.

If I don't hear from you, I'll leave Adcock out of your line up and put Wainright back in.

Ugh!  Hasn't Cincinnati clinched a playoff yet?  Doesn't Dusty know he is supposed to be resting his regulars?!?!  I think I need to drive down and have a talk with him.  LOL!
Title: Re: AFB World Series
Post by: mrmetsman on September 26, 2012, 06:32:28 PM
Oddly enough Edison Volquez and Dale Thayer gave me 35 points aswell. :P
But indeed with Cueto and Chapman it gave me 2 starting pitchers  and relievers with good numbers.
I couldn't ask for anything more i must admit.

But i fear the day Dusty will bench his whole line up to get them rested for the playoffs.
That could really kick me in the butt the last 2,3 days.

You mean for the Wednesday score Royals?
instead of the 5.8 you got now?
Cause for that day the spreadsheet has the detailed score up.
Which says 5.8.

As does mine. :P

I'll have to correct it. I'm out of town until late Saturday night or early Sunday morning.

Ehm,I don't want to be a bad sport or anything, but the difference between 5.8 points and 32 points is rather big.
How did this happen?
What went wrong?
Of course it's a game and all but it is the championship series.
I'd like to be included in the goings on here.

Where the difference in points came from.

Don't get me wrong,if Royals deserves the points,he Must get them.
I'm not the kind of GM that wants to win at all costs.
Cause when i should win while my opponent should have recieved more points the victory has no meaning for me.
I want to win fair and square or not win at all.

So in that light i think i deserve to know in detail where this difference in points came from?

I'm not accussing anyone of anything,a mistake is easily made.
These things happen and i have no problem with that as long it is properly explained.
I just want a fair and clear match up.

I'm sure knowing you guys you'd agree with my stands in this.

I haven't actually looked into it yet. I might have entered the same stats for both teams or just the wrong stats completely. You can see everything on the spreadsheet. I can't get to it from a mobile device though.

Just jumped on a computer for a minute and checked. Looks like the 9/25 and 9/26 KC stats are identical except for Moustakas and Gordon.

I must say Kenny, the timing for your absence is shall we say very unfortunate.
Not updating the scores in the Championship Match Up.
Not to thrilled about it i must admit.

I understand, life first, but as commish of this league it would have been a good idea to appoint a replacement during the time of this absence.
Depriving your GM's from the most important scores of the season is not my idea of running a succesfull league.

But i'll take it as it comes, just felt i needed to get this said. And that'll be the end of it.

Order of the last day

Title: Re: AFB World Series

I apologize. I didn't think it was important enough to ask somebody to do the scoring in the interim. My logic was that it wouldn't affect lineup changes because it's a points league and not a roto league. Next year, we're implementing Lando's suggestion of setting up a new Fantrax league just for the World Series so that will solve this issue. I had no idea it was possible this late in the year.

Through Saturday:

:KC: 523.3
:CIN:  614.8

No apologies needed mate.
After i gave my opinion the matter was closed and done with me for me.
I hold no ill feelings over this.
Life [and fantasy ;)] is a constant learningprocess for all of us and the solution you decided on for next years finals is more than adequate.
