San Jose conditionally confirms as i believe the Ducks 4th rounder via the Panthers was also coming over to Our Sharks. We sent a PM to Anaheim asking about Strome and after a little talking and the additions of Ryan Murphy and Lydman to the deal we came to an agreement.
Ducks to reconfirm that the draft pick is included. Thanks cloud91!

I veto the trade based on the fact that it will put San Jose over the cap limit. According to SizzRat, teams must be cap compliant by 8/4, the start of the new league year.
Some important updates for you to be aware of...
3.) The new league year will begin at 12am on 8/4/2012. You have until then to re-sign all your expiring contracts. Any player not signed by then will become an unrestricted free agent. Please note that during the offseason, I am allowing each team to be over their roster limit by 5 players (Max 35), and to go over the salary cap by ten percent (Max $77.3). Just make sure you correct any overages by 12am on 8/4 or you will face penalties (loss of draft picks and/or salary cap space)

Sharks have 0.3m in available cap space following our trade with Buffalo. Also with an open bid on former Shark buy out and current Free Agent Jamie Langenbrunner at 0.4m per season (we will receive that amount as a buy out discount), our team should have the necessary 0.7m cap space to adsorb the 0.7m in additional salary we are taking on in this trade. :toast:

well i had to actually plug in the numbers and yes given the FA bid on jamie langenbrunner is at 0.8 currently and it needs to be split into a 0.4 contract over 2 yrs, then :SJ: appears to have the necessary cap to move ahead with this trade.

win to :ANA: for getting a good package in return for Strome who's a great prospect but the other players aren't worth their contracts imo.

After some clever moves by a saavy GM, San Jose got enough cap space.
Therefore :iatp:
The Ducks probably win this, but Strome is a hell of a prospect and this could end up to be quite a good deal for the Sharks once he breaks into the NHL.
