Islanders receive - Steve Kampfer - and extend 2yrs @ 1.1 million based on 10/11 rank 157.
Detroit received isles 3rd pick 2013.

To my knowledge you can't trade future draft picks. Perhaps send a low end minor leaguer until the 2013 draft picks are available.

dickiedunn nailed it, we don't activate future draft picks until the current yr's draft is complete. so perhaps :DET-NHL: can just resign and hold the player on their roster til the current yr's FNHL draft is complete then pull the trigger.
just trying to stick to the parameters of the league... i know i could easily allow this but then it defeats the point of "fantasy" play.
therefore, if neither GM replies (noted on landing pg: snugerud is away for the w/e) i will temporarily extend Kamper's contract per extension guidelines and he will remain on :DET-NHL: 's roster over the Aug.3 23h59 deadline ... once both teams can rework the deal, they can resubmit. :judge:

snugerud, PM kjames1973 and confirm :DET-NHL: will resign and hold Steve for you until the new set of 2013 draft picks are unlocked... probably by the start of next week based on the current pace of the draft. :toast:

kjames + snugerud, do you have a rework update?
please let us know within 48hrs or this trade will become invalid ... as Steve K hasn't been officially extended by :DET-NHL: and we can't leave this unsigned player stay unsigned much longer now that both teams are back online.

this trade is now invalid and Steve Kampfer is released to FA given :DET-NHL: has not taken any action to resign the player or complete the pending trade with :NYI: despite being given extra days + an additional 48hrs window to complete and post a revised trade. both team were advised via PM.
