there's a problem with this deal...
1. it's not clear which draft picks are being dealt (:DAL-NHL: has x2 1st rounders + x2 3rd rounders).
2. i'm on trade committee, Sizz's role is to tie-break or make a call, unfortunately - the clock's running on :DAL-NHL:'s pick @ 24th overall.
-
:veto: wait that's kinda small...
as a regular TC member...

i've looked at this deal and after checking values of players, i'm going to cast a VETO vote.
players values:
10-11 / 11-12 = player
to :DAL-NHL: cap hit = 7.2m ... 2 players
90 / 110 = biron
195 / 145 = toews
to :CHI-NHL: cap hit = 8.1m ... 5 players
1 / 12 = grachev
145 / 115 = cleary lw/rw
116 / 133 = weiss
47 / 52 = oduya
43 / 56 = gilroy
reason:
1. :CHI-NHL: is dealing away good assets and getting back easily replaceable ones in Oduya, Gilroy, even the draft picks are easily replaceable.
2. Cleary's always an IR risk with questionable value (subjective), but old is fact.
3. Grachev is a OK prospect i suppose (totally subjective)
conclusion: Weiss in return for Toews AND a goalie is not a balanced deal.
also, following TC guidelines:
These members are the active trade committee. They are responsible for approving trades.
Takes 3 approvals for the trade to be confirmed.
They are also responsible for:
- Commenting on trades :judge: not clear what each team wants from the deal really?
- Deciding who won/who lost :judge: :DAL-NHL: by landslide IMO
- The fairness of the trade :judge: not fair to :CHI-NHL
- Whether the trade was legit or set up :judge: legit trade
- Whether the trade would be a detriment to that franchise or the league. :judge: :judge: detrimental to :CHI-NHL: losing key team assets once again and getting "bag o pucks"
the last reason alone allows me to veto the deal outright as commish, but i'll wait for other TC members to vote.
bottomline: this trade is detrimental to :CHI-NHL: as they're replacing valuable assets with easily replaced players/positions/picks. i recommend you 2 start reworking this trade.

FNHL Draft Clock PAUSED 3hrs until 14h42 ET 7/28 to allow more time for TC to vote.
note: if there are not enough TC votes by that time, then Dallas's 28th pick overall will be auto-picked (Mark Jankowski, C, CGY)

as the above highlighted :DAL-NHL: draft (#28 of Rd1) pick has been used, this trade is now void.
please rework the deal + resubmit. :judge:

After looking at this trade Dallas is clear winner here by a mile
After reading what Pigrule says i clearly agree with his points on this trade
Therefore I
:veto:
-
ok i feel i have to give some input on this one to say why i approve that deal earlier :judge:
Takes 3 approvals for the trade to be confirmed. same goes for veto's
- Commenting on trades what everyone is not seeing in this deal is that Jonathan Toews missed nearly two months due to a concussion then played 6 playoff games and decided not to go to worlds ... is he a 100%? ... Dallas is willing to take that chance like most of us would but he could end up whit only Biron to show for all he gave up in that trade and for Chicago with that trade he get's extra body to replace some players that need extension :
Jonathan Carlsson - 0 fp/g for Johnny Oduya - 0.65 fp/g
John Scott - 0.42 fp/g for Matt Gilroy - 0.85 fp/g
Tom Kostopoulos - 0.79 fp/g for Danny Cleary RW/LW - 1.54 fp/g
Erik Christensen - 0.60 fp/g for Stephen Weiss - 1.67 fp/g
by doing this he will be able to re-sign his best player Sharp and Grabner too
+ he gets 3 prospect so his team will be better because of that trade
- Deciding who won/who lost Dallas if Toews stays healty
- The fairness of the trade both teams get better by doing this trade
- Whether the trade was legit or set up legit
- Whether the trade would be a detriment to that franchise or the league.
NO
