Title: COMMISSIONER'S CORNER
Post by: SizzRat on July 03, 2012, 01:55:32 AM
This is something that has really bugged me:

The 50th ranked defenseman, who last year scored 86.2 Fantasy Points all of last year, would be due an extension contract valued at 4m/year.

Meanwhile, the 50th ranked RW scored 115.5 Fantasy Points last year, and would only be due 2.4m!

In real hockey, defenseman are an extremely valuable commodity and every team is looking for a shutdown defenseman, but that doesn't transfer to fantasy hockey which is mainly based on goals and assists.

I am recommending that after the top 5 defensman rankings, we lower each of the defenseman extension values by $1 million. So now that 50th ranked D-Man would only be making 3m/year...
