Here is the first deal I have struck with 28 (GM of Twins)
Giants receive:
C-Mauer, Joe, $10m (2013)
7 mil for 2010
for
CI Sandoval, Pablo, $0.5m (P-2012)
C Posey, Buster, $0.5m (P-n/a)
I did this trade for one reason. To acquire the best catcher in baseball. Mauer's ability goes without saying. Sandoval is a good player and Posey has a ton of potential but it was too hard to pass up for Mauer. Getting the 7 million for this year will help me fit under the salary cap. I think this is a good move for both teams as we have these players under contract for a few years.

Giant Panda and a big time catching prospect for the best catcher on the planet. This is a very fair moneyball move by the Twins. Meanwhile, the Giants focus on acquiring top talent.
