Title: Colorado Rockies Need Replacement
Post by: joeshmoe on April 17, 2012, 04:27:30 PM
Can we have a quick few days for current GMs to take the job and if not give it to Eric?  The guy's been waiting forever.

There is a process for selection.  We will go through the standard/required process.

We have already internally began discussing.

With all due respect, the league is started and Reid has been gone for a while.  We could have already had a replacement.

As far as internal discussions; shouldn't they just be public?  Why have private discussions?  This feels like the Yankees.

Internal discussion =
Hey did you hear Reid left for good, again?
Well what do we do with COL?
We should use the normal protocol because it is the best, transparent way to approach.
Ok, go public and identify there is a vacancy.

Oh wait someone else already did that.

It is nothing top secret and nothing we can't say here, just trying to let everyone know we are acting on it.

With all due respect, this is the way GM changes go here.  There will be an internal option for any GMs that would like to transfer.  If not chosen then we will go outside of the league.  There is a protocol and that is the best way to go forward.

1. No one has heard from Reid that he has in fact left. He has not logged on in a few days, and that is it. Once it reaches 14 day and he has yet to show, then we will go through the standard process of finding a replacement.

2. Kurt, sorry, in order to switch teams you have to be with a team for a year.

If an inactivity notice has been sent to the user then a response is required to remove them from such alert.  With the internal movement notice to the league triggered, it appears that we have a couple days to verify the situation which is within a couple weeks of inactivity if I have not misunderstood?
