Neither fantasyguru or hootfish's bids were a minimum of
$500,000 higher than Lindner's initial $800,000 bid , so it
appears both bids are invalid !? Best I can tell, Colon signed
a MAJOR league contract with the A's recently .

Yep.  I was monitoring their bids and noticed that both were invalid.  We are very happy to have landed Colon.  He should put up very solid #s in Oakland this year.  I should be able to get some value for him at the trade deadline if we aren't in contention at that point.
