Nationals trade:

Cade Cavalli SP WAS prospect
Gabriel Rincones Jr OF PHI prospect

Brewers trade:

Brandon Woodruff SP MIL 8.75MM(2025)

Nationals approve.  Dealing from prospect depth for a former ace.  "Former" is the key word, of course, and I'm hoping that he'll come back strong from shoulder surgery.  Thanks for the trade talks and good luck Dean @NippyJones !

Brewers confirm the trade with the Nationals. Woodruff is in the last year of his contract and coming back from shoulder surgery.  At this point I have no intention of extending him and opted for two solid prospects to bolster my minor league system.
