Nationals trade:

Alec Manoah SP TOR P-2024
Ryan Bliss MI SEA prospect
Roderick Arias MI NYY prospect
Luis Lara OF MIL prospect

Tigers trade:

Max Fried SP ATL 8.0 2024
Joc Pederson OF SFG 2.0 2025

:WAS: GM approves this deal.  I'm trying to go farther in the playoffs in 2024 and thus am happy to pick up a top-of-the-rotation (when healthy) SP in Fried and a very good but flawed (can't hit lefties) bat in Pederson.  Sad to lose the prospects and Manoah but am hopeful I can rebuild the farm through the draft and FA.  Good luck @christof.furness !

Tigers accept. Taking a gamble on Manoah but it?s one year and if it comes off we extend. Like the prospects in this deal. Fried is getting on the older side and we weren?t going to get more than a year from him. Joc is surplus to requirements.

Bliss, Lara and Arias are moved to minors. Subsequent moves to follow in next post.
