Arizona agrees to trade:
C Yainer Diaz
SP Landon Knack
2024 2nd
2024 3rd
2024 5th
To San Francisco for:
SP Logan Webb 2028 $17.1m
Reasoning:
Its no secret that I've been in the market for pitching and I can't do much better than Webb. Losing a young catcher with loads of power and feel for contact is never easy but I have the depth to make the move. Knack should get the call sometime later this year but I needed a pitcher now and don't have time to wait on him to find his footing while I'm in the hunt for a championship. Thanks San Fran, and good luck
P.S. I'm still in the market for pitching

Looking at team we needed to make some changes and feel this move will help out on the rebuild of this team. Glad to get an upgrade at catcher along w a young pitcher plus some picks

@Daddy can confirm, but next year's draft picks are not eligible to be traded until this year's draft (the one we're doing now) is complete.
-
@DaveW if that's the case I don't mind waiting till this draft is completed for this deal to become valid
-
The issue is that at the current pace of picks, the draft is likely to extend past the trade deadline next Tuesday. From the rules:
Trading is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week from the Fantrax rollover of a new season until the ACTUAL MLB trade DEADLINE.
When they stop trading. We stop trading.
So I'd suggest taking the 2024 picks out of the deal and try to find common ground using players on current rosters.

Dave nailed it.
