Title: Nationals-Padres Trade

The Nationals and Padres have agreed to a trade:

Nationals trade:

Casey Mize SP DET P-2024
Colson Montgomery MI CHW prospect
Zach McKinstry CI CHC

Padres trade:

Andrew Benintendi OF FA 4.0 2025
Connor Brogdon RP PHI P-2025

My MLB outfielders are shaky, so picking up Benintendi gives me a top 30 OF on a team-friendly contract.  I think both Montgomery and Mize will end up being very good, but I'm happy to pick up Benintendi and Brogdon for a 2023 playoff run.  Thanks @STLBlues91 and good luck!

I agree. I dont have may pieces on this roster I took over. Get two guys I like with one being a top prospect in the system. Also like the upside of Mize. Picking up a lotto ticket on McKinstry as well
