:MIL: Claims Aquino

Planning to buyout Khris Davis, but will wait to see on waiver before posting buyout fee breakdown.

No offense but others have been told they need roster space to place bids or make waiver claims. The same should apply here where you should buy him out and then make claim. I think you should be able to claim him and make corresponding move, but that is not how it has been enforced this season.

I do understand your point, sorry didn't cross my mind this would be issue as I saw this late other night and posted claim to get it in on time, but either way I was planning to buyout Davis to create a bit of cap for other moves. I am just in rough financial situation so wanted to figure out what makes most sense and I just posted now.

I am definitely in favor of making minor changes for future where corresponding moves can be posted within reason for stuff like this.

I have no problem with what you did.  You should be able to do it. I was just wanting consistency.

I had no need to waive Aquino other than I was trying to open up spots for future moves to follow the "no corresponding moves rule" and I thought his DFA by the Reds was a good time to get him through waivers. I am not sure I would have waived him at this time were it not for that rule.

I will get off my soapbox now, but I think this rule should change.

Doesn't matter, :MIL: claim is denied do to salary cap violation.
