Cardinals make this trade to acquire another couple pieces to try to win it all. My initial target here was Mateo as I think he will play a good bit of 2B for :BAL: this year if he plays like he did last year and could have some sneaky value. We were able to expand a bit to give me some additional OF depth as well. Gelof hurts to move. I think he is going to be great, but as I?ve been saying all off-season, these are the moves you make to try to win it all. Thanks @Braves155 and good luck!

My goal with the Braves is to use as many veteran players to obtain younger talent that should enable me to compete in the future. Fleming actually could be bette than a lot hope as he has sneaky pop at times and could develop a little more power. I do not think this deal would have been possible if I did not cove Joc for 2 years considering he does not have a current team, but eventually a team will sign him. Gelof is the big guy we wanted in the deal as he has legit power and even though he was only drafted in the 2021 MLB Draft. He reached AAA last season and could either be a late in season call up this season or be unreally soon in 2023.
