Vaughn Grissom .5(P-n/a)
Chih-Jung Liu .5(P-n/a)
John Gant 1.5(2022)

:STL: receives:
Cal Quantrill .5(P-2022)
Garrett Cooper 5(2022)

:STL: makes this trade to push for a title in 2022.  We were very close, without Trout for most of the year in 2021 and have a few small holes to fill to make the team better.  I think Quantrill and Cooper fill gaps and make me a better team for sure.  I'm giving up a bit more in prospect capital than I'd like to have, but when you're geared to play for a championship, you make a deal like this and try to fill the farm back up as you go. Thanks @Braves155 for the quick deal and good luck with the rebuild.

The Braves need a major youth overhaul, and string by acquiring 2 top prospects at their respective positions (Cartaya Grissom) will help the rebuild. At the price Chih-Jung Liu was worth a flier and hoping he pans out. It will take a while, but with patience and targeting the right youngsters the Braves should be on their way to rebuilding itself.

It is the Off-Season, and this trade has received 5 of 6 Trade Committee approvals and cannot be vetoed, therefore, the 48 hour waiting period will be waived and the trade will be processed.  If it was in-season, then the 48 hour waiting period would be in effect because it would involve scoring, but since there is no fantasy points to be scored at the moment, it will be processed early to clear the board.
