Title: 20/21 season is up
Post by: snugerud on July 28, 2020, 10:16:25 AM
I renewed the league for the 20/21 season on fantrax.
I have enabled the draft and minor league enforcement rules to make it easier to research and find available players for the draft.  Under player, use Minor League Fantasy Minors available .

Just getting up to speed on a few things as I have been away for a year.

if anyone has a "to do list"  or what the priorities are let me know so I know where to focus first.

A couple notes:

-Blocked shots should be added at 0.25 points per BS
-The new extension rules are now in effect:  Extension values are determined by looking up the player's fantasy points in both the current season and the prior season.  The higher of these two values is multiplied by a static factor of $25K.  The result is the players' extension value. It may be easiest to create a spreadsheet with 2 years of stats on all players, to automate this process a bit.  That was my plan, anyway.
-If we're still using the Spreadsheet, it needs to be rolled over for the 20/21 season.  I think it might be safe to do away with that and just go with the Google sheet.  But if we're still going to use the spreadsheet I can help with rolling that over.  Anthony created the Google Sheet, so if that needs maintenance, Anthony should be able to handle that.
-Normally we open trades during the extension periods to allow GM's to trade expiring contracts, we may want to have a short extension period to allow this.
-Awards?  We never voted for awards this year.  I'm not sure if anyone cares about Awards.  Your call on whether to do away with them or not.

Hmmm,  I will have to get up to speed on this new extension idea.
