SS Maximo Acosta

Nationals trade:

1B Edwin Encarnasion 10m 2021
-10m paid 2020, 5m paid 2021


Another deal where I sell some specs to add an impact bat and hoping Edwin has 2 more solid years left. 1B was among my biggest needs other than just depth all around.

I know we don’t have a date set in this league, but this still doesn’t sit well with me. Nobody is getting signed and traded fully pd within the month.

Since no rule exists, I’ll jump in here and say I understand if it’s allowed to stand, but if we’re going for realism in any sense, we need to ensure this isn’t allowed to happen in the future.

Any MLB free agent signed in the off-season may not be traded before June 1st of the following season.
