PG Dennis Smith Jr. 4.7m 2020
-3.1m previously paid this year
-Portland pays another 1.6m next year

Washington Trades:

2021 2nd :WAS-NBA2: (via :SA:)


No secret I was shopping Smith so getting a 2nd makes sense given his value is pretty low now. I was high on him coming into season but been a rough year so far. Maybe in right situation he still turns it around but given my other moves he was odd man out.

Washington confirms. 

Taking on Smith is a risk.  I'm hoping he is dealt (Possibly to Minnesota?) and can get a chance to play more minutes and revive his career.  It's worth the risk, for me when I'm going the direction I am.  Thanks Vik and good luck.

Please place Smith on inactive roster once trade is processed.
