VAN Trades:
C Jeff Carter, $1.1m (2019-2020)
X- 2020 3rd Round Draft Pick, Nashville, $m this year

NYR Trades:
X- 2019 2nd Round Draft Pick, Pittsburgh, $m this year
X- 2019 2nd Round Draft Pick, St Louis, $m this year


Give up Carter and a pick next year to get a couple upcoming picks to take gambles on.

Personally, I think Carter (and LA players in general) will have decent bounce-back seasons to return some value. Certainly selfishly hoping so for Kovalchuck, but Kopitar, Toffoli, Doughty, Quick should be back closer to 2017-18 form.

Either way, I'm comfortable taking gambles at this point in the draft.

I confirm the trade as Carter could become a major piece for the team in competing in this league in upcoming season. Look forward to examine all parts of this team and to make further changes as required.
