Title: Rockets and Pelicans trade
Post by: marko_905 on July 15, 2019, 08:47:20 PM
Pelicans receive:
Ingram $6,5 (2020)
Prince $3 (2020)
2nd round pick Houston 2019

Houston receive:
Randle $8,9 (2020)

Houston agrees. We lost 2 young players who will be RFA next year and especially Ingram who seems to start making interesting numbers at his 21 years old. Also a 2nd round pick of this year that Brent ask me to include.
For them I take Randle who had a very nice season and I hope that he keeps it going in New York. I take only one year of Randle but the only reason is to fight this year.

Thanks Brent!

Pelicans agree.  In an effort to get more control over the roster, the I decided to move on from Randle.  I'm really high on guys getting away from bad situations and that is what BI is going by leaving the toxicity of Lebron and moving down to NOLA.  I believe he will realize his potential and I won't take a dropoff from Randle to BI.  The other pieces are Lagniape.  Thanks for the negotiations.

:iatp: Randle should be the man again with Knicks so no issue if HOU wants to try and make a run while Pels get better long term control.

However, we may need to put deal on hold until BOS picks their 2nd round compensation for Terry Rozier (Hopefully he picks a 2020 pick and there is no issue).

Let's see what happens, the RFA period has been fun but a lot of these minor hickups so far with it being our 1st go around.

This is a huge haul for 1 year of Randle...

Not sure why Marko is giving up on Ingram after being so high on him last year. Prince is also no throw-in, he should take another step forward this year with Bazemore no longer in town.

To each his own though, good luck to Houston on the title run in the wild wild West!

FYI- trade has no issues, BOS compensation was 2020 :HOU-NBA:  Rockets are dealing, all 3 2nd rounders on the move.

Randle broke out and has the chance to be the guy in Madison Square Garden. Worth the one year of Ingram imo who is a worse player across the board.
