Title: Mavericks/Blazers Blockbuster
Post by: Vik on February 01, 2019, 10:10:48 PM
Mavericks trade:

Rajon Rondo  3.3m 2018 (1.6m paid)
Al Horford   11.5m 2018 (5.7m paid)
Carmelo Anthony   2m 2018 (1m paid)
Dwight Powell   9.7m 2018 (4.8m paid)

Blazers trade:

Draymond Green    18m 2019 (4.9m already paid this year, and Blazer pay additional 4m 2019)
Furkan Korkmaz    2.5m 2020 (1.5m already paid 2019)
Ryan Arcidiacono  0.9m 2021
Kostas Antetokounmpo   1.2m 2021

Was very content to ride to playoffs with current team and maybe make a small trade or 2 after last deal but instead here's another blockbuster. What started mostly as seeing what the cost for taking a flier on Melo was turned into this after Dallas showed interest in Green.

Green hasn't drawn much interest so far and figured I can reevaluate in off season and have him for my run now, but with this deal I accomplished what I wanted to. He is not the worst contract, but I am losing a lot of depth and will not be as strong next year so moving him to clear cap to sign depth was always what I intended- had to pay a little but 14m is still a nice chunk of money. Making the deal before the deadline also actually improves my team rest of year with Horford bringing similar value and Rondo as a solid 2nd piece. Who knows what happens with Anthony and Powell is nothing special, but figure maybe he gets a bigger role with the recent real life trade. Moving all my dleague guys was also necessary and does hurt my future a little but doubt any of them become a star.

Mavs confirm. I've always like Draymond and what he contributes in fantasy so taking him on for just next year isn't too much of a risk for me. I also get three young guys that I feel all have some upside. None of the guys I'm giving up were staying long-term so they help me attempt to restock for the future

Mavs land Draymond and a few other contracts, but the Blazers won't have any of these contracts to deal with moving forward. Smart moves overall.

Love this for the Blazers.

Dre contract next year sucks and all payers Blazers get are expiring but will still help the rest of this season

I guess Mava think they can get a better return on Sre down the road. We’ll see.
