Florida's trade offer seems to benefit our minor league roster even if the prospects come with a little risk as Pokka and Gudlevskis are both in Europe while Laberge just had hip surgery this week (never a good sign for a player who's main asset is speed). Ultimately if even one of the trio plays a regular shift in the NHL, we will be well rewarded. Florida to confirm.

:iatp: Cats need to make some cuts. Gudlevskis fell off the Bolts and NYI depth charts, Pokka bolted to europe and hip surgery for a 21yo is likely going to slow Laberge's development so I'd rather get a 2nd rounder and roll the dice again on a new prospect.

I think Pokka is the prospect that will break through for us.

Pokka is NHL ready but KHL might offer him more money when he's up for renewal in the Spring.
