Sabres agree. We're getting Carey friggin' Price. We will entertain offers for newly acquired Price but willing to ride him through the season. Demko is going to be great. So will Wells and Vlader. But we want a starter today. We want to win now! Everyone else was a close exchange. Thanks PR!

Big trade here, Demko seems like he has a future and Vladar/Wells also look to have promise, but who knows what time will bring.

:iatp: Blockbuster guys! I personally think Price is overrated. The guy hasn't won a cup or even reached the finals. Even Howard has won some.

Huge trade for Price. I think Price will have a bounce back season. Aside from getting a Corey Crawford type concussion, there's nowhere but up for Price after last year. Demko is supposed to be the best goalie outside the NHL but many have been tagged the same way with nothing to back it once they reach the NHL. Just look at Mrazek, Campbell, Dipietro, Lehner or Markstrom. Basically 3 medium to high potential goalie prospects for Price is a good trade for both teams. Klefbom/Ekblad are a wash. Lucic's big cap hit for Killorn's smaller cap hit on LW makes sense.

:thumbsup::thumbsup::iatp: That's a doozy of the deal! Not surprised Price is on the move here. If you can land a great spec G like Thatcher Demko and get a ton of other good players, why sit on Price during a rebuild. Buffalo is making noise. :thumbsup:

:iatp: Looking at both Teams, I like this more for Florida. Buffalo is banking on someone overpaying for Price.

:iatp: Doesn't this boil down to a trade of Price for Demko plus 2 prospect goalies? Seems Price has another 3-5 yrs in the tank. If so, that's a sweet deal for Buffalo.

Given Demko's most recent concussion, I'm almost afraid to say he might be headed down the Rick Dipietro path of pro development, one with lots injuries at an early age.
