Flames get in the mix and agree to move Ward to Chicago for a solid package of specs and a veteran goalie.

Chicago management agrees to this trade with Calgary. We are pleased to welcome veteran goaltender Cam Ward to our organization. His championship experience and leadership will hopefully help us reach our goal of bringing a Championship to Chicago. In return, we send the Flames their asking price of a similar veteran goalie plus prospects.
