Brewers send:

Tyler Olson rp
Jesse Biddle sp spec
Austin Voth  sp spec
Dilson Herrera 2b
Luis Valbuena 3b
4th round pick next year and picks 17 through 20
6m in cash to cover Valbuena's contract

Giants send:

Joey Gallo 3b
Alen Hanson 2b


Brewers were in the market for a upgrade at 3rd as Valbuean wasn't going to cut it, and I'm a big fan of Gallo and his 50+ HR potential. Even with a low average he is still great for this league and hopefully he can improve on it a little. Giving up a big package of depth guys, picks and specs with decent but not crazy upside in my opinion so, think it's worth it to solidify 3b for several years.

Giants agree I hate to move gallons but I  am looking quantity over quality in this trade I do it. I add a bunch of guys I like especially Herrera and Olson and add some pitching debth to my team

I think Gallo could have brought back better players than this.  This return for Gallo & Hanson is on the borderline for me.
