Title: Senators/Blackhawks Trade
Post by: EndGame on January 15, 2018, 10:44:58 PM
:CHI-NHL:
D - Julius Honka (2014: 1/14 - 16 Games)
Anthony Beauvillier, $1.5m (2017-2020)
Xavier Ouellet, $1.5m (2017-2020)
Round 1 - 2018 :CHI-NHL:

For

:OTT:
Jordan Oesterle, $1.6m (2017-2020)
C - Brett Howden (2016: 1/27 - 0 Games)
Jordan Eberle, $3.3m (2017-2020)
Round 2 - 2018 :OTT:

Sens looking to shake up the team with an eye on the future of our club. Really like Beauvillier's game and happy to land him in this deal. Same for Honka. Been trying to get Chicago to let him go for months and we finally got our man. We're giving up some great pieces but I like the package coming to Ottawa more and we unlock some cap space in the process. Thanks Dickie.

:iatp: Chicago management confirms this trade. We are moving a good package of solid potential for players that can contribute to Chicago's post season drive now. We were originally looking for the less expensive contract Oesterle carried (it was $0.2 Million last week) but with his growing role in the NHL, he might deserve his new FNHL extension.

Good deal for both sides, it helps Chicago push this year and helps Ottawa's long term prospects. dd is probably going to be happy Oesterle was extended if he keeps up his play of late.
