Salary caps starting in 2017 are the average MLB team salary at the end of season plus 5%. In previous years the cap was fixed at $125m. We began raising the cap in 2017 since our 4-6 year arbitration salaries are tied to actual MLB salaries and these numbers tend to go up each season.
2018 Salary Cap: $143.5m
2017 Salary Cap: $136.5m
2016 Salary Cap: $125m

Starting with the 2019 season we should increase salary for years 1-3 from $400k-$440k-$480k to $500k-$550k-$600k with $500 as our minimum.
