I've been trying to acquire prospects but this is purely a value-based deal. I think Cozart has a chance to be very good for the next several years at a reasonable salary and Tapia seems to be a solid, cost-controlled asset. I like Phillips and Fried but I think they are worth the potential upside of this return.

Giants agree I'm looking to get some more younger  players and I did that. I add 2 great prospects. I don't feel that cozart will duplicate what he did last yr. He only had one great season with cinci and even cinci let him go to become fa because they felt he could be replaced to. I plan on going after some key fa to fill his void.

ATL approves;
interesting trade - I would imagine Cozart and Tapia (2 major leaguers with manageable contracts) would fetch more than two mid-ceiling prospects. It makes my NL competition lighter so I'm all for it.

Tigers - A (this is a steal for DET. Cozart will not be the same player outside of Cinci; however, Tapia has potential to be a top of the lineup talent in front of a stud cast in CO.)

Giants - B+ (clears roster and a little salary space from where the team has depth. Marked down because I believe they could have gotten more in return. This can turn into an "A+" if the team can turn the salary into good FA signing!)

I like Tapia more than anything coming back, so Det with the win for me.
