We get a solid SP, with the idea of fighting for the division one more time.

Thanks to Indians for the fast negotations.

Giants agree i add some more young guys to my team and clear some cap. I add another sp i feel given a chance can help my pitching staff. In hanson i can use him as a back up player at a cheap contract. Tuivailala. Is a young p im excited about getting he will help my rp get better. I wanted to start rebuilding my team and get younger clear some cap and go after some players that will help my team during fa.

Giants get pillaged again.

An SP6/LR and middle reliever and a back up infielder for an SP2/3 coming off a career year?  Well done Cards.

Interesting trade... from the outside, seems cards win with pretty good pitcher with an affordable contract. Then one remembers the tough years after gio’s breakout year in OAK. I believe giants have the tilt here.

Stl- B (may have the components to compete this year but lost some security)
SF - A- (effectively sells high...apparently SF has no trust in GI Gio. If they did, they would have waited for mid season for top prospect+)

Oh yeah...ATL approves
