After just a few messages back and forth the Toronto Maple Leafs and St. Louis Blues agree on a trade.
To St. Louis
C Artyom Anisimov, $2.8m (2016-2019)

G Darcy Kuemper, $6.0m (2014-2018)
Toronto is sad to see Artem move on and wish him the best of luck in St. Louis. We felt the need to address the Goalie position with a now pay off move. Though Kuemper is not a starting goalie his back up play points will be quite valued. Especially while the beast from Budapest (Adam Vay) developes in the AHL. Kuemper will pair with Hellebuyck to bring points to a Maple Leaf team that made the playoffs last season. Kuemper will also ink a new contract later today in the neighborhood of 4.7 per season, Toronto brass are looking foward to the FNHL Draft and 2017-18 season. Thanks for the easy talks Matt!

St. Louis accepts!
For our first deal, the Blues felt Kuemper's high salary, for the amount of GP, was a no brainer to move.
Here we save cap and get a very solid Centerman in return. A position we need.
Anisimov's lower salary will also allow us to target other FAs and gain more fpts in the long run.

yes thats what i am gambling on. I see kump as a better option than what they have. Q needs some rest time to time and the Kings need some wins on his day off. Besides in the worst case scenario (injury to Q) kuemper is the most experienced
