Coyote brass are very pleased to announce the contract extension of Center Connor McDavid. Center rank #2 and the sky is the limit. Should be a great points competition between McDavid and Austin Matthews this season. Now the brass tax, his new contract is a 5 year ($8.4) $5.4 million increase from his $3.0 3 year entry level deal.

Hey Blkhwkfn, you can wait the year to extend Connor because the most he can earn is another 0.2m as the #1 ranked Center, currently ranked #2.
So you can ride out his 2017-18 contract at 3.0m and save $$ for now.
Or I can just go ahead and hand your boy the new 8.4m contract and your Dawgs get less cap to play with for the season. Let me know what you want to do.
