MI Santana, Danny, $1m (2018)

C Hedges, Austin, $0.5m (P-2018)
CI Garcia, Adonis, $5m (2018)
SP Locke, Jeff, $4m (2018)

I do this to get Tanaka, a frontline SP who is only 28 so will be part of my plans for the future. Locke and Garcia were not going to be around for the foreseeable future, and even though Hedges is the guy I hate to lose the most, it's a gamble on if he will reach his full potential at this point. I replace him with Urias who has a lot of hitting potential and flying up the SD prospect ranks at only 19.

Giving Urias away hurts, but I am stacked at MI hopefully for years to come. C is a huge need for the Jays right now, so I am taking a gamble here to try and acquire a solid future C after being burned by Gomes's steady decline for the last few years that led to him being dropped. Garcia and Locke are interesting players that help round up my team, and while Tanaka will be missed, there are a couple of pitchers in the EDR I am excited about promoting.

That being said, if the trade is approved, the Jays promote Diaz and Triggs to the MLB roster.
