Bleeding Orange and Black here. Time to sell off a few pieces of the dream to set things up for the future.

TO LA :LAK:
Jaromir Jagr, $2.5m (2014-2017) 45yo legend with expiring contract
Dennis Seidenberg, $2.0m (2015-2018) 35yo in last yr of his NHL contract
Nick Jensen, $0.4m (2016-2018) was a FA signee
Round 3 - 2017  (from :TBL:*)
Round 3 - 2017

TO PHI :PHI-NHL:
Seth Jones, $3.2m (2015-2018) 22yo former 4th overall pick in 2013
Gustav Forsling, $0.2m (2016-2019-EL) 20yo talented Dman
Benoit Pouliot, $2.1m (2015-2018) eating contract to get the other 2 young guns into the fold!

The player I wanted the most Seth Jones. He's an all around upgrade on the D we're sending the other way. Jagr is on an expiring contract and at 45 we're not resigning him for close to 4million per. No way. Forsling's got big upside. That's it.

BTW, anyone else notice DD is a toughass negotiator.

Los Angeles management reluctantly parts ways with Seth Jones and Gustav Forsling. Not an easy decision but one we felt would improve our team's performance during the upcoming Play-offs. As we were approached with an offer of Jagr and Seidenberg, we insisted on draft pick assets to offset the cost of losing very young highly regarded players for rentals who may retire shortly. We hope this works out for both teams.

Love this trade. Doing cartwheels in my mind. Been trolling for Seth Jones for my other team but Philly has the players to move. Timing is everything. :toast:
