I agree to surrender all my weapons in exchange for a few months of alone time with the Swedish Meatball.
Really wanted to hold onto Sorokin and I like Carlson as a top 10 fantasy defenceman. I love the potential in the other four prospects, they all should vastly outperform their draft position.

These talks lasted i believe 2 days, Antman is a great addition to FNHL. NOT to say the other new additions arent, because they too are top shelf. When this trade was presented to me i was hesitant. Though the Coyotes are in the playoff discussion, i had to look long term. John Carlson comes back to the desert after a trade 1 1/2 years ago to anchor the blueline. The prospects all have promise. Adrian Kempe i see as a 3rd line guy ('17-18), Nick Merkley is in the WHL needs 2 yrs in the AHL, Madison Bowey should finally make the cut next season, Rasmus Andersson is adjusting well in the AHL. Then the deal breaker.....Ilya Sorokin 20-5-6 this season in the KHL. He has great size and 2 years left on his contract. So maybe 2020-21 debut? Lots to look foward to in Arizona in the coming seasons, not to mention a Connor McDavid signing. Thanks once again Antman

The King has been dealt, is it a ransom worthy of his highness? Time will tell. Lots of HL guys (K, W, A) in this package.

'Zona wins

:iatp: This is a surprising trade. I'm surprised Daddy didn't reiterate his rolling the dice on prospects in trades advice here. A young Russian goalie with 2 years left on his contract with CSKA Moscow seems somewhat unlikely to leave for the NHL. It is a gamble indeed. An excellent trade for Colorado.

:iatp: The King has left Zona! Big trade boys.

Colorado for the few months they will have king. He is a rental. I don't see anyone giving him a 4 year 54M contract he is due. Speaking of Sorokin, there are very few G prospects with better outlooks. Great package for a rental. Avs also have big raises to give Johnny and Forsberg. Don't blame them for going for it, as money will never be this big again. Maybe they have a big plan to alleviate that at a later time, one would imagine so. Either way, a great package for a player that I doubt Zona was extending at that price.

I see it from both sides and like it! Colorado makes the West really tough (Chicago,Nashville, St.Louis) all don't like it.
Huge winner in this trade is Vegas....Colorado will have 3 solid goalies and only 1 can be protected.

So let it be written, So let it be done! :iatp:

:LV: management thinks that the Avs are the big winners here.
The Avs have guaranteed that no matter what happens they will have 2 goalies next year. Vegas can only draft 2 goalies total, and we may look elsewhere for that.
What are the Avs giving up for one of the best goaltenders in the NHL? A bunch of guys not in the NHL. There is no way it doesn't make them better.
:LV: will select the best "long term" net minders we can find. Regardless of whose team they are on or how many goalies that team has.

:iatp: If Yotes didnt have other NHL goalies and had not purchased their team, I could see this getting a veto or 2. In todays FNHL this is just a great trade.
