Title: Bs and Sens Swing Deal
Post by: jackdaniels on January 09, 2017, 08:27:02 AM
Couple of offers in my Inbox. EG works fast.

To Bs
RW/LW Patrick Sharp, $4.1m (2014-2017)
D Ryan Ellis, $3.0m (2015-2018)

To Sens
RW Jimmy Hayes, $2.1m (2015-2018)
D Morgan Rielly, $4.2m (2016-2019)
RW - Brock Boeser (2015: 1/23 - 0 Games)
D - Sean Day (2016: 3/81 - 0 Games)

End up moving 2 specs I wanted to groom to add a veteran in Sharp. Not a move I envisioned but why not with Ellis coming over as well. GL Endgame/Sens.

:iatp: Pending OTT confirmation. Good deal for OTT if Sharp is only a rental and at age 35yo, it might be good anyway for the Sens to get younger.

:iatp: Like PPG said, pending approval by the busy beaver Senators. Good both ways. Sharp is Sharp but that package of young players going to Ottawa is going to look great in the near future.

For the record EndGame I would have done the deal. Guess I have to log on more frequently to see what you're offering. Oh well. Still a good trade with Boston here.

Ottawa agrees because Ottawa initiated this trade discussion. Day is a great lottery ticket to hold onto. Jimmy and Morgan are only scratching the surface. Never a dull moment in Ottawa.

The winner will be determined by whether Patrick Sharp is a rental or a player that will be resigned by Boston. If Sharp becomes a Free Agent, Ottawa wins this trade. If he is signed to an extension, I would judge this to be a balanced trade.
