Title: Ottawa's deal with Columbus

Here it is. Ottawa's long awaited 1st trade under new ownership. Didn't take long thanks to Blkhwkfn and the Blue Jackets.

Traded to JACKETS
Logan Couture, $5.8m (2013-2017)
RW - Vitaly Abramov (2016: 3/65 - 0 Games)

Traded to SENS
Dion Phaneuf, $5.1m (2016-2019)
Drew Stafford, $1.6m (2014-2017)
Round 3 - 2017

I trolled through trade blocks and talked to Blkhwkfn about this. My Sens need RW's like Phaneuf needs a new publicist. Thank you Blkhwkfn for making this happen.

Yep fast easy talks when DD had the team, there was a flare sent up. No talks happened until now. Thanks Endgame for the easy talks. Phaneuf wasn't in my long term plans nor was Mr. Stafford. Logan Cloture is a nice veteran add to my youth and most likely Vitaly Abramov will see time at training camp with a chance to impress. I see notable NHL time for him in 2018. Thanks again Endgame

:iatp: That was fast indeed. It is difficult to objectively assess this trade as it involves my former team. I am biased toward certain players on the Ottawa roster. That is why having new ownership take charge every now and again helps an organization. This is a great trade for both owners. Each team acquires players they need.
