Canucks trade Dman in edler who offensive contributions to the Canucks have dimished in the past few years, the dman shooters are now Hutton, Stecher and Larsen in PP time, to gain Baertschi who improves our weak LW depth.
Hopefully Sven & Bo regain their mojo they had at end of last season for the next forcoming Seasons

Pending :NAS: clears cap to absorb the salary or make this a conditional deal where Alex takes an extension of 2.3m (2016-2019) since he's ranked 98th both yrs.
Pending :VAN: adds enough cap to let Edler go in this deal since moving Alex would drop the Nucks below the cap floor of $54.0m. Currently the Nucks are at $60.0 - 6.9m = 53.1m leaving Vancouver 0.9m shy of the floor. Ooooooooo, so close.

Rebuilding trades are great. They are somewhat unconventional in nature and do not always have a clear direction immediately because of their long term goal. Approval is subject to both teams meeting cap limits.

:thumbsup::thumbsup::iatp: Adding veteran presence in the locker room. Edler will get an extension and be down to 2.3m which should fit into our available cap space of 3.1m (just promoted a kid from our MiLR for 0.7m).
Edler should be good for a few point and add some veteran depth on the blueline. Luckily our recent LW callup replaces Sven production. At least that's the plan going into this. :thumbsup:
